The Color Purple

The Color Purple

Ultra Violet 18-3838 it is!

This is Pantone’s 2018 color choice of the year.  In a time where awareness, meditation and intention have become the mindset of many, Ultra Violet lights the way.

Imagination, intrigue, creativity, the night sky, the cosmos, the galaxy, magic, the artists Prince and Jimi Hendrix  all come to mind when I think of the color purple. Limitless possibilities, boundless creativity, emotion and an open road to travel and discover our own unique mark in this world. What a way to enter 2018.

How does color impact us? Take a walk outside and you will feel the effects of color in your environment. A blue sky, green forest, a blanket of white snow. How do these make you feel? Color instigates emotion and has the same effect in our homes.

So bring in the ultra violet! Who doesn’t want to feel a little creative inspiration as you cook a meal or work on a home project? Ultra Violet, a strong blue-based purple brings our awareness to a whole new level. A little goes a long way. An accent pillow, a vase full of Irises, sage in the kitchen, a colorful fruit bowl, candles, or a new piece of art are all simple ways to bring this enchanting shade of purple into your every day environment. Our homes are the setting to our own unique life story.  Feel the magic and embrace with curiosity all this year brings your way.

Happy 2018 everyone and hold on... It is going to be fun!

All my best,

Suzanne
