This count is considered an outdated method of measuring quality in sheets. The truth is, the higher the thread count, the tighter the weave which causes sheets to lose any benefit of cooling and breathing. Summer Hydrangea | The Cut and Hammer Method

Keep hydrangea clippings fresh for more than 4 weeks. My magical method in 3 steps.

On the first day of your fresh hydrangea clippings, cut each stem bottom at an angle, about 1-2 inches.

With a hammer, squash the bottom of the stem at your cut. I usually hit the stem 2-3 times.

Fill your vase with faucet or hose water and put your stems in the vase. These should stay fresh for a few weeks or more.
